Testivo Clipper — Privacy Policy

What it does

Testivo Clipper is a browser extension that lets you capture a piece of text (a testimonial, review, or social post) from a web page and save it to your own Testivo account as a pending testimonial.

What it accesses

• The text you select or the post you choose to clip on the page you are viewing — including the visible author name, handle, avatar URL, role, post text, and link. The extension only reads this when you actively trigger a clip; it does not monitor or transmit your browsing.
• The current page URL and title, stored with the clip as its source attribution.

What it stores

The extension stores your Testivo connection token and your preferences (default wall, Testivo origin) locally in your browser via chrome.storage.local. This data stays on your device and is sent only to Testivo to authenticate your own clips.

Where data goes

When you save a clip, the captured fields are sent over HTTPS to the Testivo API (https://testivo.tech/api/clip) and stored in your Testivo account as a pending testimonial for your review. Nothing is published without your approval. Data is not sold, shared with third parties, or used for advertising.

Permissions

Host and scripting permissions are used solely to read the content you choose to clip and to show the in-page capture UI. The extension does not run remote code and does not collect analytics.
